CELEBRATING 110 YEARS.

This year we are celebrating 110 years as a church family.  We began our celebration on February 23, 2014 with thanking God for five years of worship, praise, fellowship and service to our neighbors under one roof, our Parish Hall.  It cost about $2 million to build and furnish the space that is used for worship, fellowship and serving our neighbors.  We have a pantry named after its founder, Ruth Small, and a feeding program.  Both outreach ministries provide food and grocery to our neighbors who are in need ten times a month.

On May 4, 2014 we will celebrate our Patronal Festival.  During the service we will recognize all our members who are 90 years old and over or who will be 90 years during our celebrations.  Those being recognized are Hattie Henry, Wintworth Lawrence, George Hudson, Johnsie Walker, Marion Hanson, Florence Burke, deceased, Elizabeth Martin, Louise Kenney, Gloria Burke, Verna Ferguson, Nancy Bailey, Cicero Tilley, and Norma Smith.

We will also on that day ask all our members to contribute $110 in thanksgiving to our Gift Day.  Our Gift Day funds are given to our Endowment Fund which helps secure of future mission and ministries.  We are hoping to have one of our former rectors return to be our Guest Preacher.  We will end the day with a lovely Brunch.
